The duo has played HopMonk many times over the years, and with All is Song they turn in their finest work to date--an album of inspired declarations to the power of music, song, and collaboration.
Technically precise songwriting mirrored with an improvisatory spirit and soaring harmonies have made the band one of the most acclaimed acts in the Americana world. Blending elements of that genre with bluegrass, traditional folk ballads, and more pop-leaning ideas, Misner & Smith makes music gloriously nonconforming.

Sam will be joining an amazing group of artists as a songwriting coach for the New Song Fest 2024 put on by the good folks at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley, CA. They believe that songwriters are at the heart of our arts community and it is gatherings like this where we begin to grow the next season of songwriters. New Songs is a songwriting festival featuring four days of workshops, three evening concerts, multiple breakout and coaching sessions, practice space, and a professional production on stage in front of a public audience.
